Job summary

Sigma Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support PMW160 and NIWC Pacific for U.S. Navy Enterprise networks. The role focuses on system design, development, integration, configuration, and lifecycle engineering to ensure reliable IT services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical degree in System Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience designing, developing, and integrating IT systems.
• DoD cybersecurity requirements and clearance eligibility.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, integrate, and maintain system components for PMW160 system configuration, deployment, and sustainment.
• Create and modify scripts for configuration, automation, and deployment of various software.
• Integrate hardware and software with virtual infrastructures, Windows, Linux, via IP based and Non-IP based applications.
• Support and perform software patching, updates, and application compatibility testing to ensure system baseline integrity.
• Create and maintain system automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Contribute to system compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards including STIG implementation and RMF validation.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in lab and deployed environments while providing root cause analysis, and defect resolution implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering team in a fast-paced operational environment to support operational readiness.
• Ensure customer requirements are met while operating effectively, considering all aspects of the product lifecycle, from design to maintenance.
• Participate and support production installation events, lab integration testing, and software readiness reviews.

Sigma Defense is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support PMW160 and NIWC Pacific for U.S. Navy Enterprise networks. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to shape capability delivery by providing system design, system development, systems integration, configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle engineering support for Navy IT networks and systems. The candidate will work closely with Navy stakeholders and partner teams to ensure applications and services are documented and integrated effectively.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
