Job summary

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, FL is seeking a part-time Utility Kitchen Worker to maintain cleanliness and support event catering. The role involves operating dishwashing equipment, polishing silverware, and assisting in general food preparation for events.

Qualifications

The Utility Kitchen Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards through the operation of dishwashing equipment and sinks, polishing silverware, removing garbage, and cleaning of equipment and work areas, including the sweeping and mopping of floors. This position will also assist in general food preparation for events.

Food service at the Straz includes fine dining, indoor & outdoor casual dining, catering, and meal services.

Located in downtown Tampa, the Straz offers flexible hours, event-based schedules including evenings and weekends, and a team-based work environment.

• Dishwashing
• Kitchen cleaning and sanitation
• Food handling and storage
