What You’ll Do

Job Profile Summary:The Senior Product Owner (Technical) will collaborate with other Product Owners, Technology, Lines of Business, Operations, and other key partners to define and drive requirements to support data conversions from legacy AFS and ACBS applications to AFS Vision. This role requires expertise in banking, commercial lending, loan servicing, and data conversions. The Senior Product Owner will help define, develop, and support the implementation of product roadmap deliverables, capabilities, and adoption, supporting business outcomes and lead a robust, continuous prioritization process to maximize total value, risk mitigation, and other business benefits across the bank.
General Function:Responsible for the squad that is creating, prioritizing, and managing conversion tools and processes necessary for converting data from legacy systems to the target future system AFS Vision including defining conversion selection criteria, mapping data from source to target system, and implementing post-conversion reconciliation and reporting. The Senior Product owner will manage the team’s backlog by prioritizing, articulating, and delivering new features from ideation through production release while ensuring team backlog alignment with customer and stakeholder needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Motivate teams to deliver on the strategy and roadmap for continuous growth and improvement of product outcomes and experience.
  • Partner with other business functions, IT, Risk, Finance, Operations, and other key partners to define and execute on the product strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain agreement/approval/guidance, including Lines of Business, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Fraud, Architecture, and related functions.
  • Provide transparency and ongoing communications with line of business partners/key stakeholders.
  • Work with subject matter experts to solve problems and make decisions in support of the team, with a focus on driving the greatest outcome for the product and the Bank.
  • Partner closely with third parties to cultivate the relationship, understand product releases, remediate defects/outages, and ensure a seamless experience for our employees and customers.
  • Maintain and provide product information to users and partners for training and other documentation.
  • Actively monitor industry trends; participate in industry forums, professional associations, conferences, etc.
  • If appropriate:
    • Support a SAFe mindset across the product teams.
    • Collaborate with SAFe teams on creating and maintaining a healthy product backlog, creating/reviewing/accepting backlog items (user stories, defects, technical spikes, etc.) and participating in team ceremonies such as sprint reviews/demos.
    • Motivate teams to deliver on roadmaps for improvement of product outcomes and experience through the development of potentially releasable code in each sprint.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) desired.
  • Product management background preferred; ability to interact and influence within the organization.
  • Experience and understanding of financial data conversions.
  • Ability to consult and articulate key messages to all levels within the organization.
  • Basic business acumen and understanding of business processes related to products and customers.
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe development a plus.
  • Ability to promote a work environment that fosters creative thinking and innovation.
  • Collaborative with strong intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving.
  • Good analytical skills with ability to present well-thought-out, simple solutions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and with different teams in a fast-paced environment.
