Job description

Important: The successful applicant will be performing work on US Government classified environments, and therefore, must be a U.S. Person (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). This position requires a current US Government Secret Clearance.

Location and Travel: Must reside within the continental United States and be able to travel outside of the continental United States for a minimum of three and a maximum of six consecutive months.

Meet the Team

Our Consulting Engineers are a vital part of the Customer Experience (CX) team, delivering Business Critical Services to our customers. We combine Cisco Analytics and Knowledge with technical expertise to drive value, innovation, and adoption in customer networks. We help reduce risk, foster innovation, and enhance networks to meet business objectives. We serve as trusted advisors, helping customers understand their networks, mitigate risks, and leverage technology. We work closely with Cisco Engineering to advocate for innovation and share upcoming technologies with our customers.

Your Impact

As a Security Consulting Engineer and Technical Leader, you will help transform our customers' network architectures. Your role includes day-to-day customer engagement, training, and mentoring other architects, tech leaders, and engineers. Bring your creative solutions and be a valuable team asset.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Secret clearance
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Cisco networking, Cisco ISE, C2C, Zero Trust
  • Foundational knowledge of Enterprise Networks, Unified Communications, and Security technologies
  • Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), multiple Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP), or equivalent skills (Security)
  • Ability to work remotely with up to 30% travel
  • Willingness to work European Time Zone hours to support the customer and travel outside the US for 3-6 months
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering Cisco standard methodologies within customer infrastructure
  • 10+ years working with the Department of Air Force IT and/or cyber solutions
  • Experience leading or guiding teams in analyzing and resolving complex network issues
  • High-level crisis management skills, proactive problem resolution
  • Strong communication, consulting, and customer relationship skills
  • Experience with Route/Switch, Data Center, Collaboration, SDWAN, DNAC, SDA
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
