Job summary

TreeHouse Foods in Hanover, PA is seeking a Material Handler for our production maintenance team. This full-time role supports the materials flow from warehouse to line, ensuring on-time delivery of stock and proper handling on the production floor.

You will operate a forklift, move materials, and assist with sanitation and housekeeping to uphold GMP standards. Candidates must follow procedures, stay alert to quality, and contribute to a safe, efficient workplace.

Qualifications

• Ability to keep up with fast-paced conveyor line.
• Ability to drive forklift and pass in-company forklift driver training.
• High degree of attention to drive safely required to prevent injury.
• Mental alertness to identify quality issues.
• Ability to understand and follow standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receives production orders and plans day to make sure that materials are delivered promptly from warehouse to line to ensure that production standards are met.
• Remove and replace unused material.
• Transfer unused materials to and from the warehouses.
• Prepares stock for shipment by securing product with stretch wrap slip-sheet or pallet product.
• Transports product from production floor to warehouse using forklift.
• Removes trash product from oven and production floor and move to waste dumpster.
• Maintains material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspection, making operator repairs such as changing batteries.
• Ensures good manufacturing procedures by following housekeeping standards and assisting in sanitation duties as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
