Job summary
The Cath Lab Technologist role at Fusion Medical Staffing supports diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in a busy cardiac cath lab in Norfolk, VA. Qualifications
- One year’s recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification.
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and related procedures.
- Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents, and operate monitoring equipment.
- Operate and maintain imaging, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic systems.
- Scrub in and maintain sterile field; adhere to infection control protocols.
- Document patient records and equipment logs; manage supplies and stock as needed.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and hospital policies.
