Job summary

Allied Health in California is seeking an Anesthesia Tech for a 13-week assignment. You will maintain anesthesia machines and related equipment, load and assemble line insertion supplies, and ensure inventory levels for ongoing procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum years of experience is preferred in a healthcare setting.
• Anesthesia Technician certification is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification is required.
• Completion of a medical terminology course is preferred.
• Requires that all associates receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily anesthesia machine and related equipment maintenance.
• Assists anesthesia staff with pressure line insertion procedures.
• Maintains adequate anesthesia-related supply inventory.
• Performs routine clinical tasks of limited complexity under direct supervision.
• Operates autoclaves and other cleaning equipment per policy.
• Assembles pressure line insertion and monitoring supplies and equipment.
• Assists physicians during line insertions.
• Troubleshoots patient monitoring equipment intraoperatively.
• Tests functionality, stocks, and calibrates patient monitoring equipment daily.
• Works with staff, supervisors, and vendors to ensure product quality while minimizing costs.
