Job summary
Cabot Coach Builders is hiring a 12V Electrical Installer to join our team in Haverhill, MA. You will install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems in specialty vehicles, including transit and emergency response vehicles. Experience with automotive or commercial vehicle electrical systems is required.
The role emphasizes clean, production-quality installations with close collaboration with engineering, production, and QC to meet build schedules.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience with 12V automotive or commercial vehicle electrical systems.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Experience using hand and power tools for vehicle electrical installation.
- Experience with crimping, soldering, heat shrink, and connector assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Install and route 12V wiring harnesses throughout commercial vehicles.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and installation drawings.
- Install electrical components including LED lighting, power distribution, switch panels, relays and fuse blocks.
- Install inverters, battery systems, shore power, cameras, monitors, and USB charging systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using multimeters and diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain organized wiring with proper routing and protection.
