Nevada State University invites applications for a Lecturer of Human Health Sciences with a background in anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and/or introductory biology. This is a 12-month position with opportunities to pursue promotion through the lecturer career ladder.

The primary location for this position is the Henderson campus, with teaching at the North Las Vegas campus possible. The selected candidate will join an interdisciplinary department supporting BS degrees in Biology,

Qualificações

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, or Microbiology; ABD candidates considered if degree completed by 2027-06-30.
• Strong commitment to teaching and undergraduate mentoring.
• Commitment to a diverse, non-traditional, first-generation student population.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and technology skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Teach 30 credits per academic year (12 fall, 12 spring, 6 summer) at Henderson and possibly North Las Vegas campuses.
• Teach primarily lower-level Anatomy & Physiology, Life Science, and General Microbiology in person.
• Serve on departmental and university committees.
• Engage in professional development activities.
