Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Hattiesburg, MS is hiring Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team. The positions require working 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, with a starting pay of $19.00 per hour.

You will operate equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and quality standards. Candidates should have at least one year of experience operating equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting and familiarity with computerized machinery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience adjusting and repairing equipment in a manufacturing industrial, military, farming, and/or automotive environment.
• Experience using computerized machinery in a manufacturing industrial, military, farming, and/or automotive environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to safely meet daily production goals
• Inspecting product and make appropriate equipment adjustments to meet quality standards
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic machine repair
• Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness of work area throughout shift to ensure a safe and orderly environment
• Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances
