Job summary

Canadian Solar Inc. is seeking an Equipment Shift Engineer to operate, maintain, and optimize manufacturing equipment to ensure reliability and continuous production. The role involves supporting equipment installations, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and minimizing downtime.

Interviews are conducted onsite at the Mesquite, TX facility with the option to indicate shift preference. Successful candidates will join a team focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Willingness to work 12-hour continental shifts (days or nights).
Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
Knowledge of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide equipment-related technical support for production operations, including maintenance, spare parts, repairs, and documentation of support activities.
Train and assist employees on the proper operation of manufacturing equipment and troubleshoot equipment-related issues.
Ensure efficient repair scheduling and review repair cost estimates.
Track equipment downtime and recommend strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce production interruptions.
Implement and promote equipment safety policies and procedures.
Assist in developing and executing Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximize equipment performance and uptime.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and production performance.
