Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to lead a 12-hour night shift (7 PM–7 AM) for union Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance teams, ensuring equipment reliability and metal flow.

You will direct safety programs, manage Maximo work orders, coordinate with engineering, and drive 5S and housekeeping improvements.

Bachelor's in engineering preferred or associate with 5 years in maintenance supervision; strong troubleshooting, team leadership, and communication required.

Qualifications

• BSME preferred or 2-year associate in maintenance with 5 years' experience, including 2 years in supervision.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Strong PC skills with Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work in teams; multitask.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Maintenance Craft Workers; schedules time & attendance, corrective actions, training, and coaching.
• Directs safety meetings, performs Job Hazard Analysis, and conducts incident investigations to maintain a safe environment.
• Ensures safety processes with audits (Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, mobile equipment).
• Drives 5S housekeeping improvements and maintains contract/labor relations awareness.
• Coordinates and communicates resource sharing between plant maintenance areas and reviews turnover reports.
• Uses Maximo to enter service requests, manage work orders, and track spare parts in inventory.
• Schedules and monitors maintenance work in Maximo, driving continuous improvement of practices.
