Job summary

CGH Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN shift pattern (7p-7:30a with weekends). The role focuses on applying the nursing process, developing care plans, and evaluating outcomes on an assigned unit.

Responsibilities include administering medications and IV therapies, assessing education/discharge needs, and maintaining accurate patient records. Emphasis on emergency response and mentoring other staff.

Qualifications

• Proficient in applying the nursing process in a specialty unit.
• Ability to plan and implement patient education and discharge needs.
• Knowledge of administering narcotics, IV therapies and medications.
• Maintains accurate patient records and supports interdisciplinary care.

Responsibilities

• Administers narcotics, medications and IV therapies per RN standards.
• Assesses and plans patient/family education and discharge needs.
• Maintains patient records documenting care and interventions.
• Responds to emergencies and supports care team functions.
• Promotes professional practice and serves as a resource to staff.
