Job summary

Unilever in Jefferson City, MO is seeking an Automation & Controls Specialist for the night shift to lead automation initiatives across the packaging and process lines. You will program PLCs, read electrical schematics, and partner with maintenance to reduce downtime and boost OEE.

The role requires hands-on experience with automation systems and a collaborative approach to drive continuous improvements on a fast-paced manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ maintenance-related experience.
• Working knowledge of PLCs required.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; higher degree desirable.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily/weekly meetings to drive automation needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.
• Improve current and deliver new low-cost automation within the facility.
• Identify and reduce top daily automation losses to improve OEE.
• Support automation trials and engineering solutions for the facility.
• Read and understand electrical documents; perform PLC changes as needed.
