Bashas' Supermarkets is seeking an Assistant Team Leader who can drive day-to-day operations across multiple store areas, lead by example, and deliver outstanding customer service with a safety-first mindset. You will train and coach team members, manage shifts, and help maintain fresh displays while upholding company policies and quality standards.

This temporary role supports our commitment to food excellence and community.

Qualifications

• Friendly and customer service oriented; interest in food and cooking a plus.
• Exceptional leadership skills; interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer service, grocery or similar experience desired.
• Previous leadership experience desired.
• Self-motivated with high attention to detail, quality and presentation.
• Strong communication with coworkers and customers.
• Able to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to read, understand and follow verbal and written directions.
• Able to reliably meet work schedule and attendance policy.

Responsibilities

• Leading, training, coaching, and communicating with all Team Members.
• Operating a register and accurately handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change.
• Assist in coordinating weekly merchandising and maintaining abundant store displays.
• Assisting customers by providing information and resolving complaints; maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
• Developing future leaders.
• Ensure compliance with all company and store policies and procedures (and thus compliance with all state and federal laws).
• Working a variety shifts to facilitate store operations, including morning, midday, and night shifts.

Responsibilities

An Assistant Team Leader is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service. An Assistant Team Leader is a key cog in the leadership structure, and will have multiple responsibilities throughout the store.

An Assistant Team Leader's responsibilities include:

• Leading, training, coaching, and communicating with all Team Members

• Assist in coordinating weekly merchandising and maintaining abundant store displays
• Assisting all customers by providing information and resolving any complaintsMaintaining Safety and Sanitation standards throughout the store

• Ensure compliance with all company and store policies and procedures (and thus compliance with all state and federal laws applicable to this industry).
• Working a variety shifts to facilitate store operations, including morning, midday, and night shifts
• All other related duties as assigned
