Job summary

City of Stillwater is hiring a Water Distribution Maintenance Worker for the Water Utilities department. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a pay progression from $16.11 to $22.46 per hour as you gain skills and certifications.

Starting rate is $16.11 per hour with comprehensive benefits. The City covers license costs and provides training support to obtain CDL, air brake, tanker endorsements, and Water/Wastewater operator licenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license; Oklahoma driver’s license required within 30 days of hire.
• Within 12 months of hire obtain Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements, Class D Water Operator license, and Class D Wastewater Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repairs of water/wastewater systems, city streets, parks and facilities using power and hand tools.
• Operate and maintain water distribution infrastructure as part of the Water Utilities department.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training and certification/licensing programs.

115-26 Water Distribution Maintenance Worker: We are looking for a team member to join our Water Utilities department in the Water Distribution division. This position is Monday through Friday 7:00AM -3:30 PM and is part of a progression plan ($16.11 to $22.46 per hour) with defined pay increases as you gain skills and knowledge through on-the-job training as well as specific certifications and licenses. In this position you will utilize a variety of power tools and hand tools to perform construction, maintenance and repairs of water/wastewater systems, City streets, parks, and facilities.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license (must obtain Oklahoma Driver’s license within thirty days of hire), within twelve months of hire you must obtain a Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements, Class D Water Operator’s license and a Class D Wastewater Operator’s license. The City will pay for you to get your required licenses and assist you with training.
