Job summary

Lehigh Hanson Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Quality Engineer to partner with cement plant teams to implement and maintain quality control programs, testing protocols, and process improvements across operations.

You will analyze laboratory results, monitor SPC metrics, lead root cause investigations, and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers while upholding safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, laboratory testing, and process improvement in manufacturing.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop practical quality/process solutions.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Understanding of quality management systems and SPC concepts.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with plant operations, suppliers, and customers.
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to plant sites.

What You'll Be Doing

Support laboratory testing and inspection activities, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize product quality and process performance.

What Are We Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field

Knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, laboratory testing, and process improvement principles within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop practical solutions to quality and process performance challenges.

Experience applying root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive sustainable results.

Understanding of quality management systems, statistical process control (SPC), and industry standards related to product quality and compliance.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively partner with plant operations, technical teams, suppliers, and customers.

Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and delivering high-quality products and services.

Office environment with opportunities to collaborate across multiple business functions and locations

Occasional travel to plant production environment to support quality initiatives, audits, training, and continuous improvement projects across the region.

Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
