The ideal candidate holds a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering (or related) with 5+ years (or 3+ years with MS) of relevant experience, strong Creo skills, and a solid understanding of tolerancing and heat transfer

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with required experience.
• Experience in mechanical design and power electronics context preferred.
• Proficiency in Creo and tolerancing concepts.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

This role supports the Power Electronic design team on mechanical design, concepting, and validation activities for electric drive product systems, from design release and checking through fit-up, assembly, and vibration and thermal testing.

Key Contributions & Responsibilities

• Design release and checking
• Mechanical design concepting and validation, including fit-up/assembly and vibration and thermal testing
• Supplier interaction on manufacturing

Team Structure & Work Environment

• Reports to the Mechanical Design Lead
• Works in-person with the on-site team and virtually with the global team, collaborating with fellow Mechanical and Power Electronic Engineers
• Primarily an office environment; PPE provided when on production floors or at testing sites

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

• BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience required OR
• MS in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience OR
• Associate's degree with 9+ years of experience
