Diversified Services Network, Inc. is seeking an IT Project Manager to join the Application Program Management Team. The role focuses on integrating services across the application portfolio and enterprise systems, applying secure, scalable patterns to enable adoption and success.

The selected candidate will manage multi‑functional teams, drive change management, and partner with product owners and customers to deliver complex software solutions in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The IT Project Manager will work within the Application Program Management Team, collaborating with other project teams to build software solutions that integrate common services across the application portfolio and other enterprise systems used by customers and dealers. This role is critical to ensuring successful integration of applications with various digital platform capabilities built on modern technologies, applying industry-leading architecture patterns and security best practices to support application adoption and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable owner for successful project completion — on time, within budget, and error‑free.
• Manage the planning and execution of project team members across the full project lifecycle, from concept through prototype, pilot, implementation, and follow‑up.
• Own the project charter, communications plan, metrics, reporting, and overall project plan and budget.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using professional project management tools and techniques, including tracking charts, checklists, and scheduling software, delegating appropriately across the team.
• Lead change management efforts and drive timely decision‑making, maintaining schedules that reflect detailed change information such as affected components, functions, timelines, and cost.
• Partner with individual contributors across multiple functional disciplines and with customers to establish and manage completion dates.
• Monitor project progress, proactively discuss issues with affected teams, and ensure appropriate personnel are informed of problems and remediation steps.
• Recommend solutions and alternatives based on the nature and complexity of issues that arise.
• Guide teams through the creation of project charters, including aligning scope, ways of working, and overall project structure.

Team Collaboration & Scope

• Partner with engineering and technical product owners on each project.
• Manage multiple, multifunctional teams spanning business and engineering disciplines.
• Carry a workload of one large project or two to three concurrent projects, with annual volume ranging from 8–10 projects depending on Agile sprint frequency.
• Operate within a challenging to very challenging complexity environment.

Work Environment

• This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week onsite at the candidate's choice of our Peoria, IL or Chicago, IL office.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university plus 10+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business) plus 8+ years of relevant experience. Degree must reflect a completed graduation date.
• 10+ years of direct project management experience leading software engineering teams within an Agile Software Development methodology, in partnership with business stakeholders and product managers.
• 10+ years of experience managing projects from inception, with demonstrated ability to lead teams to alignment.
• A consistent track record of tenures of 18 months or longer in prior roles.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) and Confluence, along with working knowledge of Power BI.
• Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end program management within a cross‑functional matrix organization.
• Proven experience with project management fundamentals, including project charters, scheduling, and planning through to successful completion.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• Experience leading large‑scale organizational change management.
• Strong strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to drive alignment and set direction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMP, SAFe, and/or Change Management certification.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Prior Scrum Master experience in addition to core project management experience.
• Experience working within large, enterprise‑level organizations.
• Experience with eCommerce and/or service-related applications or projects.
