CCMS & Associates is seeking a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster in Kansas to perform field inspections and claims investigations. You will work independently, travel to sites, and utilize Xactimate for estimation.

A valid driver's license and reliable computer with internet access are required. Responsibilities include interviewing insureds, claimants, witnesses, reviewing coverage forms, and preparing detailed reserve recommendations and loss documentation for clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience
• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss and Proof of Loss
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and access to a working computer with internet

Responsabilités

• Conduct residential and commercial field property inspections using Xactimate
• Investigate claims by obtaining statements from insureds, claimants and witnesses
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation and reserve reports
• Obtain and interpret official reports and review coverage forms
• Provide well-documented initial captions and analysis to clients
• Maintain high-quality work by following established best practices

We are answering a call to action to expand our roster - join us as a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster!

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience
• Maintain own current estimating software - Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus)
• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters
• Valid drivers license

Responsibilities:

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software
• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report
• Obtain and interpret official reports
• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards
• Ability to prepare full-captioned reports by collecting and summarizing required information
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional

Preferred but Not Required:

• College degree
• AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
