Cms- is seeking a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster for Kansas/Olathe. You will perform field inspections, gather statements, and analyze coverage while using Xactimate and Word. The role requires experience in property adjusting and delivering timely, well-documented reports to clients.

Strong communication, reliability, and a client-focused attitude are essential, with emphasis on accurate reserve recommendations and adherence to best practices in loss estimation and handling.

Formación

• Experience in first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting.
• Ability to prepare loss-related documentation and correspondence.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform residential and commercial field inspections using Xactimate.
• Investigate claims by interviewing insureds, claimants, witnesses and officials.
• Recommend reserves based on investigations and reserve reports.
• Review official reports and interpret coverage forms.
• Provide a documented initial report outlining coverage issues to the client.
• Maintain quality by following established best practices.

We are answering a call to action to expand our roster - join us as a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster!

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience


• Maintain own current estimating software - Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus)


• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word


• Strong time management and customer service skills


• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters

Responsibilities:

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software


• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages


• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report


• Obtain and interpret official reports


• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client


• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards


• Ability to prepare full-captioned reports by collecting and summarizing required information


• Strong verbal and written communications skills


• Prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional

Preferred but Not Required:

• AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
