3Core Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior Java software engineer for a 12-month hybrid role in Peoria, IL. You will design, develop, test, and optimize backend services and databases, working in an Agile team with remote and on-site collaboration.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of Java development experience, strong AWS and database skills, and a proven track record delivering scalable software systems.

Position’sContributions to Work Group:

• Thisposition reports to Software Engineering Manager, as do other staff jobs inapplication and technical systems and programming sections.
• Responsibilitiesare within functional lines with individuals assisting in new programdevelopment and/or maintenance of existing mobile, WEB, Cloud, server,computing systems.

Typical task breakdown:

• Workas part of Agile team and participate in Scrum activities.
• Competentto perform all programming, development, integration and system administrationassignments without close supervision.
• Designs,codes, tests, and debugs programs of high complexity.
• Configurationor customization of purchased software solutions with high complexity.
• Providesproject management, programming, systems, and/or system administrationleadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members.
• Workson more complex application/technical problem identification and resolution,including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls.
• Worksindependently on complex processes and modules that may be used by one or moreprograms, systems or in support of infrastructure component change management.
• Developsmajor system modules, programs or infrastructure released based on requirementsgathered from system customers.
• Performsintegrated testing and customer acceptance testing of system components thatrequires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results
• Fullyknowledgeable of programming languages appropriate to the platform supported,program design and specification development, programming logic, logicdiagrams, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentationstandards, file design, storage and internal systems;
• Performsintegration tasks for in-house developed systems and/or purchased hardware andsoftware solutions. Assists customers with documentation, training andusability efforts.

Required TechnicalSkills:

• 8+years or more of software development experience or at least 6 years ofexperience with master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 8+years or more of experience in designing and developing software applicationsin Java or at least 6 years of experience in Java with master’s degree incomputer science or related field.
• Atleast three years of experience developing in AWS: cloud formation templates,deploying ECS clusters, Lambda, Fargate, Amazon Elastic Search, S3. Strongunderstanding of IAM roles and policies.
• GenAI experience for software development.
• Provenexperience in following,
• Designing, developing,deploying and maintaining software at scale. Three years of experience buildingand developing with Cloud Technologies (such as AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Developing softwareapplications using relational and Nosql databases.
• Applicationarchitectural patterns, such as MVC, Microservices, Event-driven, etc.
• Deploying softwareusing CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure Devops etc.
• Deploying andmaintaining software using public clouds such as AWS or Azure.
• Working within an Agileframework (ideally Scrum)
• Batch or streamprocessing systems such as AWS SQS, AWS SNS, Kinesis.
• Experience designingwell-defined Restful APIs o Hands on experience with API tools such as Swagger,Postman and Assertible
• Hands on experiencewith testing tools such as Selenium and Cucumber and their integration intoCI/CD pipelines. o Datastores such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis,Elasticsearch, MySQL, Oracle.
• Mustdemonstrate solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals like datastructures and algorithms.
