Canvas in Utah is seeking an experienced aerospace engineer to support the design, development, and integration of aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Requires experience necessary to perform the following tasks:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Mech Engineering (ABET highly desired) and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Mech Engineering (ABET highly desired) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
This position frequently requires ascending/descending aircraft crew doors, aircraft stands - ascending/descending flight deck ladders, work stand ladders and common ladders, entering, exiting, working and crawling in confined spaces. Walking on wings, in cargo bays and in hangars where their are trip hazards, sharp edges and cords/hoses laying on floors, cargo decks,, wing stands and fight decks and falling objects. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Combination of desk work (computer) and frequently working in an industrial work setting and as mentioned above accessing everywhere on an aircraft. Noise protection and goggles/safety glasses must be worn in designated work areas.
