Position Purpose & Summary

Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Stamping Department to ensure customer requirements are met while maintaining safety and efficiency. This is a 2nd shift position, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in setting up progressive dies efficiently and accurately, following safety procedures, including handling shakers, bolting/unbolting dies, and hooking up die protection.
• Assist in loading steel coils, including applying coil tags and zeroing out the end of the coil.
• Complete company Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training.
• Must pass HILO training.
• Remove scrap and apply lubricants as needed.
• Conduct visual and dimensional checks of parts for defects according to the Control Plan.
• Monitor die and stock to prevent mis-hits and jams.
• Participate in team discussions, suggest, and initiate solutions.
• Follow lock-out procedures and notify supervisors of hazardous conditions.
• Shut down any machine with a hazardous condition to ensure safety.
• Adhere to all safety rules and company policies.
• Stop the process if the product does not meet quality standards.
• Report production and time using CRT.
• Print labels and ID baskets.
• Collaborate with team members and management to achieve company goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly stand; frequently reach with hands and arms; occasionally walk; occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The environment is usually loud, requiring hearing protection.
