Position Purpose & Summary

Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Stamping Department to ensure customer requirements are met while maintaining safety and efficiency. This is a 2nd shift position, from 2pm to 10:30pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1. Assist in setting up progressive dies efficiently and accurately, following safety procedures, including guarding, bolting/unbolting dies, and hooking up die protection.
2. Assist in loading steel coils, including tagging coils and zeroing out coil ends.
3. Complete company LOTO training.
4. Must pass HILO training.
5. Remove scrap and apply lubricants as needed.
6. Conduct visual and dimensional checks of parts for defects per the control plan.
7. Monitor die and stock to prevent mis-hits and jams.
8. Participate in team-based problem solving and improvement initiatives.
9. Use lock-out procedures and notify supervisors of hazards.
10. Shut down machines with hazardous conditions to ensure safety.
11. Follow all safety rules and company policies.
12. Stop production if product does not meet quality standards.
13. Report production and time data on CRT.
14. Print labels and ID baskets.
15. Collaborate with team members and management to achieve company goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly required to stand, reach, and occasionally walk. Must be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

The environment is typically loud; hearing protection is required.
