Job Description:

The Clinical Informaticist will interpret clinical policies authored by Health Plans and CMS, and build models to automate them. The role involves collaborating with clinicians (MDs, Nurses) and technical engineers during the design process. The person will act as the Development team liaison throughout engineering.

• Interacting with Doctors and Nurses
• Knowledge of Medical codes, CPT codes, etc.
• Good clinical experience
• IT experience as BA and interaction with business and IT/Engineering teams
• Explain and understand technical solutions

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret clinical guidelines and policies from Health Plans and CMS
• Build clinical models for automation in compliance with policies
• Analyze historical data to develop and validate models
• Consult with MDs and Nurses during model development
• Collaborate with Development and QA teams for model validation
• Provide clinical technical support for production issues
• Develop use cases and user stories for application flows
• Perform data analysis and define data mapping models
• Create detailed source-to-target data mappings and transformation rules

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience in Healthcare IT
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and technical skills
• Proficiency in Visio and Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

Assets:

• Degree in Clinical Informatics
• Familiarity with CMS, MCG, Interqual guidelines
• Experience querying and analyzing data with SQL
• Experience with EMR systems
