4th Day Trucking is seeking a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to move containers within a 150-mile radius, with 100% no-touch freight and nightly home time. The role offers long shifts totaling 55–70 hours weekly and home daily after each shift.

Drivers receive a weekly pay range of $1,200–$1,300 gross, with cpm pay plus stop incentives and additional per-stop bonuses. Hazmat endorsement is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• Residence within 25 miles of the dispatch yard.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred, but not required.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• 100% no-touch freight with live loads/unloads and drop-and-hook.
• Operate within a 150-mile radius of yard.
• Regional hub drops and runs to other yards.
• Slip-seat operation with daycabs; containers mounted at ramp.
• Handle ramp and flips on DOT-legal chassis as needed.

100% No-Touch Freight, Big Hours & Daily Home Time

Looking to pull local containers and sleep in your own bed after every single shift? We have immediate openings on our dedicated intermodal fleet. Handle container transport across the regional metro area while building a solid daily routine and pulling high weekly earnings.

Pay & Financial Package

• Weekly Average: $1,200 to $1,300 gross per week
• cpm pay plus stop
• Stop Incentives: +$12.50 per stop paid
• Per-Load Breakdown: Averages out to ~$24.50 per stop (averaging 2 stops per load)

The Work & Operational Expectations

• Freight Handling: 100% No-Touch Freight (Mix of live loads/unloads, preloads, and drop-and-hook)
• Running Radius: Operating within a 150-mile radius of yard
• Common Loops: Regional hub drops including runs into other yards
• Equipment & Gear: Slip-seat operation driving clean daycabs. Containers are mounted directly onto bare chassis at the ramp
• Ramp Operations: Occasional 30 to 60-minute wait times for "flips" at the ramp when mounting containers onto DOT-legal chassis

Shift, Schedule & Home Time

• Home Time: 100% Home Daily , reset at home after every single shift
• Weekly Hours: Solid 55 to 70 hours per week (averaging 10-12 hours per shift)
• Available Shifts: Night Shifts available
• Schedule Options:
  • Sunday through Thursday
  • Tuesday through Saturday (Weekend work is standard on this fleet)
• Holidays: Holiday dispatch is completely optional on this account

Qualifications & Hiring Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card
• Hiring Boundary: Must reside within 25 miles of the dispatch yard
• Experience Requirement: Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience (Trainees, team operations, and owner-operators are closed on this run)
• Hazmat Endorsement: Preferred, but not strictly required
• Background & Safety: Solid driving record, clean work history, and mandatory drug screening
