Job summary

Uxbridge Public Schools is seeking a Grade 7 Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This 1-year position will foster an inclusive classroom focused on academic, social, and emotional growth per students' IEPs.

The teacher will develop IEPs, participate in eligibility reviews, collaborate with staff, and communicate with families. Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate/Severe needs is required; a Master’s is preferred. Start date is immediate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts DESE Licensure in Moderate or Severe Special Needs required.
• Experience with and/or teaching students with disabilities in inclusive settings preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and assess IEPs and behavior plans.
• Participate in Team meetings for eligibility, annual reviews, and re-evaluations.
• Provide specialized instruction with appropriate modifications and accommodations.
• Collaborate with educators, specialists, and support staff to ensure student success.
• Maintain regular communication with families about progress.
• Administer and interpret assessments and prepare reports.
• Deliver direct instruction in inclusive and small group settings.
• Monitor progress and adjust instruction based on data.
• Supervise and collaborate with paraprofessionals and ABA Technicians.
• Support compliance with federal and state regulations.
