Job summary

Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Chevy Chase, Maryland, seeks a recruiter who can own full-cycle sourcing across corporate, scientific, and operational roles. The role involves building pipelines, conducting initial screens, and carrying searches through to offer, with a hands-on, end-to-end approach from day one.

This is a 1-year temporary contract based at HHMI Headquarters with a hybrid schedule (three days on-site, two days remote).

Qualifications

• This role requires 5+ years of sourcing and/or full-cycle recruiting across multiple talent segments.
• Experience with Workday Recruiting is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple talent segments simultaneously with strong prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Source across multiple talent segments and build pipelines.
• Go beyond LinkedIn using research-specific channels.
• Identify and engage passive candidates before openings.
• Own searches end-to-end through offer stage with no handoffs.
• Conduct initial screens assessing interest, qualifications, and mission fit.
• Keep pipeline clean with accurate stage tracking in Workday.
• Deliver market intelligence to shape search strategy.
• Manage a high-variety portfolio with disciplined prioritization.
