Job summary

Magnolia Gardens PCH, Inc. seeks a dedicated home health aide to provide one-on-one care for a male resident with developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Ellenwood, GA. The role includes personal care, household tasks, meal prep, and escorting to appointments as needed.

Shifts are available Monday to Friday and on weekends, 6 to 7 hours per day, with focus on dignity, comfort, and safe daily living activities. Training and ongoing updates are encouraged to ensure high quality care.

Responsibilities

• Monitors resident condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
• Supports resident with housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household requirements.
• Preparing and serving meals and snacks; running errands.
• Assists resident with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Helps resident care for themselves by teaching cane/walker use and other personal hygiene techniques.
• Records resident information by entries in logs and notifies the manager of changing conditions.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following standards and procedures.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Adheres to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, and regulations.
• Accepts ownership for new tasks and adds value to job accomplishments.
• Occasionally transporting resident to doctor’s appointments and outings.

This ad is for a position providing one-on-one care for a male with developmental disabilities.

Shift(s) Available:

Saturday - Sunday: 6 to 7 hours per day

Job Duties:

• Monitors resident condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
• Supports resident by providing housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household requirements; preparing and serving meals and snacks; running errands.
• Assists resident by providing personal services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Helps resident care for themselves by teaching the use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.
• Records resident information by making entries in logs; notifying the manager of changing or unusual conditions.

• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy resident environment by following standards and procedures; maintaining security precautions; following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards;
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
• Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
