Job summary

Seattle Public Schools seeks a dedicated 1:1 Instructional Assistant to support a 1st grade student in the Resource service pathway. You will promote safety, independence, and meaningful classroom participation throughout the school day.

The role involves assisting with mobility, personal care, transitions, and implementing IEP supports under certificated staff guidance, with inclusion across classrooms and activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Paraeducator assessment or higher credential preferred.
• Certifications in CPR/First Aid may be required by district.
• Experience with individual student support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a 1st grade student in various settings.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Support personal care, hygiene, and classroom materials access.
• Implement IEP objectives and accommodations as directed.
