Job summary

PVSD50 in Michigan is seeking a part-time Title I Reading/Math Teacher to promote effective reading instruction and support students under district policies.

Responsibilities include group and individual reading instruction, supervising paraprofessionals, and measuring student progress while maintaining strong collaboration with staff, parents, and students. Travel to district buildings as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education required.
• Colorado Teacher’s License required.
• Demonstrates command of oral and written English language.

Summary of job responsibilities and duties

• The Title 1 teacher promotes and develops successful reading instruction for students and performs related duties in accordance with District policies and terms of the teacher contract.
• The teacher also maintains a cooperative attitude with staff, parents, and students.
• The teacher is responsible for group and individual instruction of reading for students who meet state and federal guidelines.
• The teacher supervises and develops lessons for paraprofessionals, and measures student progress.

Additional Duties

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Equipment

Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.

Travel Requirements

Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of education.
• Holds a Colorado Teacher’s License.
• Demonstrates command of oral and written English language.

Salary

Pay will be in alignment with the step 1 teacher salary schedule available on www.pvsd50.org (under financial transparency). 1/2 time wage begins at $23,316.
