Job summary

PVSD 50 seeks an Elementary School Reading/Math Teacher to deliver Title 1 reading instruction and support student progress in reading according to state and district policies.

The role requires collaborative work with staff, parents, and students, and supervision of paraprofessionals while developing lesson plans aligned with the district standards. A Bachelor's in education and Colorado teaching license are required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of education.
• Holds a Colorado Teacher's License.
• Demonstrates command of oral and written English language.

Time Title 1 Reading/Math Teacher

Summary of job responsibilities and duties:

• The Title 1 teacher promotes and develops successful reading instruction for students and performs related duties in accordance with District policies and terms of the teacher contract.
• The teacher also maintains a cooperative attitude with staff, parents, and students.
• The Title 1 teacher is responsible for group and individual instruction of reading for students who meet state and federal guidelines.
• The Title 1 teacher supervises and develops lessons for paraprofessionals, and measures student progress.

Additional Duties:

• Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Salary:

Pay will be in alignment with the step 1 teacher salary schedule available on www.pvsd50.org (under financial transparency). 1/2 time wage begins at $23,316.
