Job summary

Plateau Valley School District 50 seeks a ½ time Title 1 Reading/Math Teacher to promote reading instruction and support students in accordance with district policies. The educator collaborates with staff, parents, and students to deliver effective reading strategies and assess progress.

Responsibilities include group and individual instruction, supervising paraprofessionals, and aligning tasks with the teacher contract. Travel to district buildings for meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Colorado Teacher's License required.
• Strong command of oral and written English.

Summary of job responsibilities and duties

The Title 1 teacher promotes and develops successful reading instruction for students and performs related duties in accordance with District policies and terms of the teacher contract. The teacher also maintains a cooperative attitude with staff, parents, and students.

The Title 1 teacher is responsible for group and individual instruction of reading for students who meet state and federal guidelines. The Title 1 teacher supervises and develops lessons for paraprofessionals, and measures student progress.

Additional Duties

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates command of oral and written English language.

Salary

Pay will be in alignment with the step 1 teacher salary schedule available on www.pvsd50.org (under financial transparency). 1/2 time wage begins at $23,316.
