Job summary

Wise Minds Therapeutic Services LLC is seeking compassionate Community-Based One-to-One Support Staff to mentor and supervise youth across Maryland. You will provide direct supervision, behavioral support, and life skills coaching in home and community settings.

Role emphasizes safety, stability, and emotional well-being while supporting social and independent living skills. Training, supervision, and ongoing development are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of experience OR Associate’s degree + 1 year in human services.
• Experience with at-risk youth, foster care, behavioral health, or residential/community settings preferred.
• Must pass CJIS background check, CPS clearance, and sex offender registry screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one supervision and support to youth in home, school, and community settings.
• Model appropriate social, coping, and communication skills.
• Assist youth in developing independence, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.
• Accompany youth to appointments, activities, and community-based programs as needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries using a trauma-informed approach.
• Implement individualized behavioral strategies based on service plans.
• Monitor and document behavioral progress and daily activities.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding youth progress and concerns.
• Reinforce positive behaviors and support youth during emotional challenges.
• Complete service notes, progress reports, and timesheets accurately and timely.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with DHS, COMAR, and agency standards.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and required trainings.
