Job summary

Delta-T Group Virginia, Inc. seeks a dedicated Aide to support K-12 students in Washington, DC area, working 1 on 1 with students with disabilities to help them reach academic, behavioral, and developmental goals.

Responsibilities include implementing IEPs, collaborating with teachers, and adapting materials; you will also help with behavior management, social and communication skills, and daily living activities when required. A compassionate, student-centered approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Background clearances must be passed.
• Experience with SPED or disabilities is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEPs and accommodations.
• Support students with disabilities to achieve academic, behavioral, and developmental goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to modify instructional materials and activities.
• Implement classroom behavior management strategies and positive interventions.
• Help students develop social, communication, and self-regulation skills.
• Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment.
• Serve as liaison between students, families, and school staff.
• Participate in team meetings and IEP discussions.
• Provide assistance with personal care and daily living activities when needed.
• Work with multiple staff to meet student needs.
