Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate, bachelor’s, or associate’s degree in behavioral health or related field.
• ABA Therapist certification preferred.
• Must be eligible for a Wisconsin DPI-issued Special Education Educational Assistant license.
• Pro-Act Certification provided by the District.
• CPR/First Aid Certification provided by District.

Responsibilities

• Follow a personalized behavior plan designed by the District’s BCBA, providing one-on-one support to students by teaching new skills through positive reinforcement.
• Accurately record student behaviors during the day, graphing data to track progress and identify areas of improvement, and adjust interventions as needed.
• Engage with students in various activities to practice targeted skills, provide prompts, reinforcement, and manage challenging behaviors.
• Maintain open communication with the BCBA supervisor, report progress, discuss concerns, and collaborate with staff and other professionals.
• Educate families on ABA principles and how to implement intervention strategies at home to support student progress.
• Support the District’s Strategic Plan and participate in meetings and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
