Job summary

Qualifications

• Education and experience with school-age children and special needs preferred.
• Completion of required state paraeducator training and certifications within stated timelines.
• Ability to implement behavior management strategies and supports for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated staff with instructional and non-instructional activities for non-mainstreamed special education students.
• Instruct students individually or in small groups; support life skills and basic care.
• Monitor student safety, maintain records, and support behavior management.
• Communicate progress with staff and parents; adapt methods to student needs.
