Job summary
Oak Park Elementary School District 97 is seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant to support student learning under the supervision of Core Instruction staff. Qualifications
- High School Diploma required or equivalent.
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- Illinois certification/licensing as applicable for paraprofessional staff.
- Ability to implement prescribed programs and maintain records.
Responsibilities
- Assist with a balanced instructional program and student supervision.
- Support individual or small group academic activities and life skills.
- Implement behavior modification plans as directed by the teacher.
- Maintain confidentiality and build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Assist with daily classroom activities and supervision during recess, lunch, and transport.
