Job summary

Oswego Community Unit School District 308 is seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant to support students with specialized needs in academics, behavior, and health/hygiene as directed by Special Education Teachers.

Successful candidates will assist students in achieving goals, applying guidance to classroom situations, and may be required to lift up to 30 pounds (50 pounds with assistance). The role offers $21.25 per hour, a full benefits package, IMRF pension, and a 35-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Must support students with specialized needs and follow guidance from Special Education Teachers.
• Ability to lift up to thirty pounds without assistance, or assist with lifting up to fifty pounds.
• Comfort with managing health/hygiene needs as directed by teachers.
