Job summary

Northampton Public Schools is seeking a qualified 1:1 Nurse (RN or LPN) for JFK Middle School in Northampton, MA. The role supports an assigned student under IEP/HC plan, providing direct health care, medication administration, and care coordination with staff and families.

The 1:1 nurse collaborates with the building nurse and Health Services director, following MA laws and district policies. This is a full-time position with benefits under the MA NES contract.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license in Massachusetts is required.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably SNAP.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate students’ medical history and needs.
• Implement the care plan with school staff and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Monitor student health and respond to health concerns.
• Document care, updates, and communications with families.
• Report to building nurse and health services director.
