Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for dedicated 1:1 nursing support at an elementary school in Longmont, CO. Starting August 2026 for the 2026–2027 school year, you will monitor health, administer medications, and coordinate with school staff and families to keep the student safe and engaged in activities.

The role offers W-2 employment with liability insurance, healthcare benefits, 401(k) with company match, and reimbursement for licensure/CEUs, with mileage and referral

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license required.
• School Nursing CDE or ability to obtain.
• Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Ability to provide consistent 1:1 care in a school environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with G-tubes, oxygen management, oral suctioning, and other complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support to a student with medical needs.
• Monitor health and respond to changes during the school day.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Document health records accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families.
• Prepare for and respond to medical emergencies.
