Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a 1:1 School LVN in El Monte, CA for a contract, part-time role. The LVN will identify and address student health concerns in a school setting, promote wellness, provide health education, and support disease prevention.

All care adheres to the LVN scope of practice and state regulations. Requirements include an active LPN/LVN license in the service state, CPR if applicable, and a preference for at least one year of school nurse and pediatric experience.

Qualifications

• One year of school nurse experience (preferred).
• One-year pediatric experience (preferred).
• Current CPR certification, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address health concerns in students within the school setting.
• Promote general wellness and provide health education.
• Support disease prevention efforts and monitor students' condition throughout the day.

The 1:1 School LPN/LVN is responsible for identifying andaddressing health concerns in students within the school setting. This roleincludes promoting general wellness, providing health education, and supportingdisease prevention efforts. The School LPN/LVN monitors the student’s physicalcondition throughout the school day and refers to appropriate healthcareresources when necessary. All care is delivered in accordance with the SchoolLPN/LVN scope of practice and in compliance with applicable state educationcodes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current LPN/LVN license in the state which services arebeing provided
• One year of school nurse experience, preferred
• One-year pediatric experience, pre
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
