Job summary

The Arc NCR in Belcamp, Maryland is seeking a part-time Personal Support Coach (DSP) to provide 1:1 supports to individuals in their homes and community settings.

You will assist with personal care, daily living skills, transportation, and documentation, while upholding the person-centered philosophy and safety guidelines.

This role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years’ experience in a residential setting is preferred.
• CNA/GNA Certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as toileting, feeding, hygiene.
• Help with daily living skills like meal planning, shopping, grooming, and home maintenance.
• Support mobility and transfers, and assist with transportation to communities, events, or appointments.
• Maintain documentation including Caretracker, medication, and behavioral charts.
• Administer medications timely when applicable and notify nursing staff of concerns.
• Follow person-centered/no-restraint philosophy and program policies.
• Participate in PCP planning and BSP reviews, and assist with training new staff.
• Track time and coordinate with departments as needed.
