Responsibilities include aiding instruction, attending classes with students, engaging them in activities, and recording progress data to guide planning and support. Strong team collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years University credits or extensive related experience.
• Experience with children in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to follow teacher direction and written plans; teamwork.
• Organizational and oral/written communication skills.
• Willingness to operate classroom equipment/technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 hands-on support to students with special needs.
• Assist teachers with instruction for academics, life skills and self-help skills.
• Attend all classes and related services with students to provide support in all areas including the community.
• Engage children in learning activities and implement behavior and communication plans.
• Support staff by collecting and recording data on student progress.
