Job summary

Watertown Public Schools seeks a Paraeducator - Category II-A, 1:1 at Judson Elementary School to support instructional goals and student independence. The anticipated role reports to the Director of Special Education and Building Administrator and starts immediately.

Requirements include at least 60 college credits or an Associates Degree or ParaPro; prior experience with students with disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of study at the college level (60 credits), an Associates Degree or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment is required

Responsibilities

• Follow and adapt instructions/lesson plans as needed
• Balance supporting an individual student with fostering independence
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students and staff
• Participate in IEP processes and serve as a resource for the student team
