Job summary

Learner Education is seeking experienced Biology Tutors who can confidently support students in Biology from middle school through college level. The ideal tutor can also teach other Science subjects such as Chemistry or Environmental Science, and may tutor Math to increase availability.

This is a fully remote contract role with flexible scheduling. We require a Bachelor’s degree, at least 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring, 1+ year of U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience.
• At least 1 year of U.S. teaching or tutoring experience.
• Must have taught or tutored within the past 2 years.
• At least 1 year of online tutoring experience.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. curriculum and grading standards.
• Must have biology subject matter expertise and ability to tutor other science subjects.
• Ability to tutor science from 6th grade to college level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Peak-hour availability Mon–Thu 3–10 PM ET is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Biology students from middle school through college online.
• Teach other science subjects such as Chemistry or Environmental Science as needed.
• Possibly assist with Math tutoring to increase schedule availability.
• Maintain a quiet, professional online tutoring environment.
