Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant II - 1:1 Support for a 6-hour day at Rio Americano HS. The role supports students with mild to moderate needs, working 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday as part of a 9-month calendar.

Qualifications emphasize experience with Resource or Special Education settings and the ability to run small groups and assist teachers in both classroom and special day contexts. A California driver license may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with students in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs.
• Ability to run small groups and support teachers in general education or Special Day Class settings.
• Willingness to obtain a California Class C Driver License within 30 days if required.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students in large groups.
• Support the teacher's needs in both general education and special programs.
• Provide 1:1 support for students with mild/moderate needs.
