Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant II to provide 1:1 student support for students with mild to moderate needs. The role includes running small groups and assisting across general and special education settings, under the supervision of teaching staff.

A valid California Class C Driver License may be required in some programs. The candidate should have experience in resource or special education settings, and be prepared to support teachers with classroom

Qualifications

• Experience with mild/moderate support needs in resource or special education settings.
• Ability to run small groups and assist in large groups.
• Willingness to obtain a California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire if required.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students in large groups in both Special Day Class and General Education settings.
• Support teachers' instructional needs and manage classroom activities.
• Adapt to the needs of students with mild/moderate support needs and track progress.
