Job summary

Community Horizons in Appleton, WI is seeking compassionate respite care providers to support families with children and adults with special needs. The role offers flexible 20–40 hour weeks, evening and weekend shifts, and in-home as well as community activities.

You will supervise, assist with daily living tasks, transportation, homework, meals, and emotional support while using de-escalation strategies to maintain a calm, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Able to pass a Wisconsin background check.
• Experience working with adults or children with complex needs (Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Autism, ADHD, ODD, Etc).
• Proven dependability.
• Understand de-escalation techniques.

Families Needed Hours:

• - This position can go from 20 to 40 hours weekly
• - Flexible schedule to fit your needs
• - No set schedule
• - Evenings and weekends
• - Hours are needed through the school year and summer
• - (If you are looking for a set schedule, this family is up for discussion)

Pay:

• - $17.97 an hour
• - Mileage Pay is offered (when the child is in the vehicle)
